Manufacturing Tech - Molding

Townley

1st Shift: 7am - 430pm, M-F

Additional overtime available as business needs increase

Compensation: $16 per hour

Purpose of Role:

Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician whois responsible forpacking molds.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Pack sand molds

  • Break up sand molds and slag

  • Ability to apply mold coating and ramming/packing sand molds

  • Remove gates,spruesand other projections from castings

  • Clean castings and patterns

  • Follow oral and written instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects

Requirements:

  • Safe operation of all tools

  • Materials handling experience preferred

  • Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment

  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills

Required Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.

  • Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.

  • Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.


Work Environment:

  • Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand,

  • Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
