1st Shift: 7am - 430pm, M-F
Additional overtime available as business needs increase
Compensation: $16 per hour
Purpose of Role:
Founded in 1963, Townley Engineering & Manufacturing is a rapidly growing, American-made solutions expert for wear and abrasion problems found in the mining, dredging, and power industries. We have an opening for a Manufacturing Technician whois responsible forpacking molds.
Essential Job Functions:
Pack sand molds
Break up sand molds and slag
Ability to apply mold coating and ramming/packing sand molds
Remove gates,spruesand other projections from castings
Clean castings and patterns
Follow oral and written instructions and/or direction given by supervisors to complete assigned work projects

Requirements:
Safe operation of all tools
Materials handling experience preferred
Ability to work in a team-oriented work environment
Demonstrates excellent communication skills
Required Physical Demands:
Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted.
Physical capability to properly handle tooling and safely set up large pieces; including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products.
Must be able to stand, sit and bend for long periods of time.
Work Environment:
Manufacturing environment: loud noise levels, high temperatures, dirt and sand,
Required PPE: steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, dust masks, and/or respirators.
