Job Description

The Kraft Heinz Company is currently seeking Manufacturing Team Members to work at our production facility in Mason City, IA. Ideal candidates must be safety and quality-orientated and be willing to work in a team-orientated, fast-paced work environment.  This position requires individuals to perform general production duties in a food manufacturing environment following strict quality and safety standards. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be at least 18 years old and have 1 year of manufacturing experience
  • Candidates must be willing to work 12-hour rotating shifts alternating days and nights, including weekends
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary
  • Background in a manufacturing environment or technical background with electrical, mechanical, or automation experience 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Starting wage is $22.77/hr., with the opportunity to increase to $25.84/hr. within the first 6 to 12 months based on training completion and final performance test. Employees are also eligible for overtime compensation.
  • 3 weeks of Paid Time Off (PTO)

Work Schedule:

  • 12-hour rotating shifts on a 4-days-on, 4-days-off schedule, alternating days and nights (6:15 AM–6:30 PM / 6:15 PM–6:30 AM), including weekends and holidays.

Plant Overview:

  • Products: Refrigerated Ready-to-Eat Jell-O gels, puddings and cheesecake
  • The plant runs 24 hours a day / 7 days a week. This continuous process is supported by four shift teams with over 150 employees.
  • Non-union facility

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Operate and maintain equipment in the area in a safe and efficient manner
  • Read, follow, and update Job Task Analysis (JTAs) for work area
  • Perform quality checks as required
  • Ensure proper raw or packaging components are used based on product requirements
  • Actively participate in the facility’s safety compliance program
  • Troubleshoots and resolves breakdowns
  • Sustains responsibility for preventative maintenance and sanitation in the work area
  • Ensures efficient operation of equipment
  • Communicate with co-workers effectively to ensure minimum interruptions in production
  • Responsible for following FSQ requirements such as GMPs and other daily/job-specific duties to support QRMP
