Job Description

As an Ops Excellence Specialist, you’ll oversee the execution of all lean manufacturing and 5S activities, along with the replenishment of cleanroom Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and garments. Your time will be spent (1) reporting on key 5S metrics, evaluating 5S performance, and guiding lean/5S activities and (2) on your feet replenishing consumables and cleanroom attire.

You will work an 8-hour day shift Monday through Friday. You will also occasionally need to come in for up to two hours during night shift (after 6PM) to guide night shift employees (around four times per month).

The Day-to-Day:

  • Track key performance data to report in graphs/charts.
  • Attend scheduled 5S walks and monitor 5S observations, providing guidance where necessary.
  • Lead projects or tasks related to lean manufacturing, replenishment, and continuous improvement.
  • Interact with and guide all departments and personnel on site.
  • Maintain stock of PPE throughout the site and cleanrooms.
  • Order PPE to keep stocked in storage room to be distributed.
    • Regularly lift and move around ~15lb bagged garments
  • Present content for new hires during New Hire Orientation

This Job is Right for You if You Have (Minimum Requirements):

  • Strong attention to detail and quality-oriented decision making skills
  • Interest in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to wear full cleanroom attire (occasionally)
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, particularly Excel. Microsoft Power BI experience is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to respectfully challenge people not following protocol.
  • Ability to present training material to a group of 20 or more people in person.

This role may require additional duties and/or assignments as designated by management.

The posted salary range is what Wolfspeed reasonably expects to pay for this position. Actual pay for a hired applicant will be determined based on the individual’s job-relevant qualifications, experience, and other determinative factors. In the event it is determined that a different job level upon hire is warranted then that range will be communicated to the hired applicant as soon as reasonably practicable.

Compensation Range:

$16.90 - $23.20
