On the Job Trainer (OJT) engaged in developing the next generation of mechanics for the C-130 production line. Through hands-on guidance and mentorship, you’ll ensure the delivery of quality workmanship and enhance team member proficiency. You will additionally develop and hone in the skills of less experienced OJTs so they can drive improved proficiencies on the production floor. Incumbents are experienced in multiple areas of manufacturing operations - electrons to structure.

Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations.

Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience in training, leadership, or teaching roles
  • Prior experience working on a aircraft production line
  • Strong knowledge of Material Process Specification (MPS) and Inspection Practices
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and using precision measuring instruments
  • Experience with SFM, QualSight/Apriso, DIMS, and EDW parts warehouse systems
  • Experienced in sheet metal fabrication, electrical installs & aircraft tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

  • Skilled in demonstrating and facilitating training in shop environments and classrooms

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $89100.00 - $165500.00

  • For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
