A Shop‑Floor Controller acts as the central hub for coordinating production activities on the manufacturing floor. They translate plans into actionable daily tasks, ensure the right resources are in place, monitor progress, and communicate any issues that could affect schedule, quality, or safety. Strong organizational, communication, and problem‑solving skills—combined with a solid grasp of manufacturing processes and tools—are essential for success in this role.

Supports production, business, and other processes in a team-based manufacturing environment. Performs activities in a variety of cross-functional areas including production planning and control, total quality management, systems, manufacturing, equipment and facilities engineering, material management, and process reengineering. The incumbent may facilitate self-directed work teams, provide training in core skill areas to teams and peers, and interact with internal and external customers with respect to product planning, problem resolution, and process improvement. Incumbents are generally experienced in one or more areas of manufacturing operations. Proficient in AI prompting as it applies to this position and practice.

Basic Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship
• Experience in talent development and team building
• Must be capable of effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing efficiently.
• Able to work independently.
• Experience leading small to medium sized teams.
• Related experience in Quality/Production/Engineering/Manufacturing environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills, oral, and written communication skills and organization skills.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Knowledge of Manufacturing/ Quality processes and documentation.

Desired Skills

• Familiarity with electronics manufacturing or manufacturing environment.
• SAP/VE-CAMS Experience
• Experience working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system such as SAP
• Experience navigating/overcoming hardware delays, such as coordination with QA engineering, MFG engineering, and PMP engineering.
• Experience and understanding of Harness Assemblies, circuit card assemblies, modules, boxes, and associated test equipment including thermal chambers, thermal vacuum chambers, and vibration tables.
• Familiar with MS suite including Project Professional
• Must have the ability to effectively interact with technical, non-technical and business staff at all levels and able to demonstrate strong job closure and analytical skills.
• Formal or informal project management/leadership experience
• Tableau/Tool management
• Proven ability to proactively identify and drive change
• Strong working knowledge of current Lockheed Martin Space Business practices and tools highly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree
• Experience, and ability to work under constant schedule pressure, and ability to hit product deadlines without direct oversight.

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $67400.00 - $125200.00

• Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
• For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
