The Manufacturing Support Specialist supports the manufacturing value stream by ensuring facility operations, material flow, and production support activities run efficiently. This role helps maintain operational readiness, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and ensures a safe and well-maintained working environment.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Ensure facility operations and utilities are functioning properly
  • Support daily facility activities including maintenance, repairs, and general upkeep
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules for equipment and facility systems
  • Maintain inventory of spare parts for facility equipment within budget guidelines
  • Assist with compliance to safety and environmental regulations
  • Support facility safety programs and activities
  • Provide vendor coordination and administrative support for facility-related services
  • Support upkeep and maintenance of calibration and production equipment
  • Act as liaison with property management for inspections and facility needs
  • Provide backup support to production processes as needed
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Knowledge of workplace safety practices and facility operations
  • Familiarity with general maintenance methods and equipment operation requirements
  • Understanding of OSHA and environmental regulations
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Willingness to learn and develop job-related skills

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, facilities, or related environment preferred
