ACTS AS A LIASON BETWEEN KENWORTH MATERIALS, PRODUCTION, AND THE LOCAL MSS SUPPLIERS TO ENSURE THE MSS SUPPLIERS PERFORMANCE MEETS THE NEEDS OF THE KENWORTH CHILLICOTHE PLANT.
· ASSIST IN THE LAUNCH OF NEW KIT AND SUB-ASSEMBLY PROGRAMS.
· COMMUNICATE PRODUCTION PLANS AND SCHEDULE CHANGES TO THE MSS SUPPLIERS.
· PROVIDE “BOOTS ON THE GROUND” SUPPORT TO CONTROL OFFSITE INVENTORIES, COORDINATE LEAN PRACTICES AND DRIVE CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT ACTIVITIES AT THE SUPPLIER LOCATIONS.
· LEAD EFFORTS TO IMPROVE KITTING ACCURACY, AND REQUEST CORRECTIVE ACTIONS WHEN REQUIRED.
· CONDUCT TRAINING OF OFF-SITE PERSONNEL ON RECEIVING AND OTHER SYSTEM FUNCTIONS.
· MAINTAIN ACCURATE PART MASTER DATA RELATED TO LOCATION, AND SHIP DESTINATION, FOR MSS CONTROLLED PARTS.
· SET PLANT KIT INVENTORY LEVELS AND MONITOR MSS DELIVERY PERFORMANCE.
