Job Description

Stratex is a leading manufacturer of customised paper-based flexible packaging solutions - trusted by some of the biggest food and FMCG brands in New Zealand and Australia, including Nestlé, Fonterra, and PepsiCo.

After strong growth across their NZ and Australian customer base, Stratex is looking for a Manufacturing Supervisor to join the team - and they are looking for people who wish to grow with the business, not just fill a role.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and support production teams to ensure safe, efficient, and high-performing daily operations across the manufacturing floor

  • Coordinate staffing, leave management, overtime, and shift priorities to meet production schedules and customer requirements

  • Drive a strong health, safety, and compliance culture through inductions, hazard management, PPE control, audits, and continuous safety engagement

  • Coach, train, and develop operators by maintaining training plans, SOPs, skills matrices, and competency records across the team

  • Monitor production performance, quality, downtime, and housekeeping standards while identifying continuous improvement opportunities to enhance productivity and efficiency

What You’ll Bring

  • Proven leadership or supervisory experience within a manufacturing, production, or industrial environment

  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach, train, and motivate teams to achieve operational goals

  • Sound understanding of workplace health and safety practices, with a proactive approach to compliance and continuous improvement

  • Excellent communication, organisation, and time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Solid digital skills, including MS Office and production reporting systems, combined with a practical, hands-on approach and positive attitude

What’s On Offer

  • Rotating 12-hour shifts that provide built-in time off and lifestyle flexibility

  • Secure, long-term role with a well-established manufacturer

  • Collaborative, supportive team culture with strong leadership at every level

  • Ongoing training and development

Join a supportive and growing team where your leadership, coaching, and operational experience will make a real impact.
