The Manufacturing Service Technician & Drafter is an entry- to mid-level role responsible for supporting and maintaining technical drawings, preparing accurate documentation packages, and coordinating customer service intake for installed systems. This role combines hands-on drafting with customer-facing service coordination and service database entry to help ensure timely, accurate support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update technical drawing revisions to ensure accuracy for work orders and production builds.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production to clarify requirements and resolve discrepancies in drawings or documentation.
  • Coordinate the creation, completion, and maintenance of meter mix dispense (MMD) system operation and user manuals, ensuring associated CAD/technical drawings are accurate and complete.
  • Compile final documentation packages (manuals, drawings, bill of materials, and related materials) for the correct system and configuration.
  • Perform 2‑D drafting and 3‑D modeling using company‑provided CAD tools (i.e., Alibre Design and related 2‑D drafting software) to update and annotate existing system drawings.
  • Add and revise labels, specifications, and part references on existing drawings so customers can identify and order correct components for their machines.
  • Maintain organized CAD files and revision history in accordance with company standards.
  • Answer incoming customer calls, handle inquiries, and route to the appropriate department; provide general customer support and basic troubleshooting information as needed.
  • Complete service intake forms, capturing customer information, machine/serial number, and whether the issue is mechanical, electrical, or controls‑related.
  • Track customer requests and follow‑up actions to support service level agreements and timely resolution.
  • Coordinate with engineering, production, and service teams to support resolution of technical issues reported by customers.
  • Enter and update the service database for completed builds, including test information, system details, and photos to support future troubleshooting and service.
  • Ensure new system information is accurately entered into the service database prior to shipment and updated as changes occur.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
  • 1+ year of experience with 2‑D and 3‑D technical drawings, preferably in a drafting or CAD support role.
  • 2+ years of customer service or customer‑facing experience in a manufacturing, technical, or industrial environment.
  • Experience using CAD software similar to AutoCAD or SolidWorks; familiarity with Alibre Design or willingness to learn company‑specific tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with customers, vendors, and internal team members at all levels.
  • Highly organized, with exceptional attention to detail for technical documentation, drawings, and database entry.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams) and comfort working with spreadsheets, documents, and shared files.
  • Prior work experience in a technical, mechanical, manufacturing, production, or assembly environment, strongly preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of fluid control, meters, and/or pumps is a plus; willingness to learn and build product knowledge.

Working Conditions

  • Physical Demand(s): Must be able to carry, lift, move up to 15lbs; sit for extended periods, stand, lean, squat, bend, and reach.
  • Visual Demand(s): Ability to look at a computer monitor for extended periods of time. Focusing on small electronic components for extended periods of time.
  • Hazard(s): Must be able to work in a manufacturing company, which may involve exposure to machinery, noise, and other industrial conditions.

Pay Transparency:

We are committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices. The compensation range for this position is $19.00 - $26.00 USD per hour, depending on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and location.

In addition to base compensation, this role includes a comprehensive benefit package which may include health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and other benefits.
