Manufacturing Operations Scheduler II

The Manufacturing Operations Scheduler II is responsible for ensuring alignment between production execution, planning, and system data to enable reliable delivery performance and efficient material flow.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining system accuracy, enforcing standard work, and improving operational discipline across planning, production, quality, and supply chain functions. The position ensures that production schedules are executable, system data reflects reality, and operational issues are identified and resolved at source rather than through manual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor production schedules to ensure alignment between planning, manufacturing, and material availability
  • Ensure production schedules are realistic and executable based on capacity, constraints, and resource availability
  • Act as the interface between planning and production to resolve scheduling conflicts and clarify ownership of activities
  • Maintain accuracy of SAP data including production orders, lead times, routing, and inventory status to ensure system reliability
  • Identify discrepancies between system data and actual execution, and drive corrective actions to restore system integrity
  • Develop, document, and enforce standard work for scheduling and execution processes across teams
  • Monitor and drive performance against key operational metrics including Schedule Attainment, OTIF/LOTIF, Backorder, and inventory availability
  • Identify and escalate constraints impacting delivery performance, including capacity, material shortages, quality delays, and process inefficiencies
  • Lead root cause analysis for missed schedules, delays, and execution failures, and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Planning, Production, Quality, Customer Care, and Supply Chain teams to ensure coordinated execution
  • Support new product introductions and changes to production processes by ensuring readiness and alignment across functions
  • Participate in daily and weekly operational reviews, providing clear updates on performance, risks, and required actions
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on improving process discipline, data integrity, and operational performance

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Engineering, Business, or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of experience in production planning, scheduling, or manufacturing operations
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in SAP production planning and execution processes
  • Experience in driving process improvement or standard work implementation
  • Understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes (planning, production, quality, distribution)
  • Experience supporting cross-functional operational teams

Key Competencies

  • Ability to translate data into actionable insights and decisions
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on data accuracy and system integrity
  • Ability to identify root causes and drive sustainable solutions
  • Ability to work across functions and influence without direct authority
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Success Measures

  • Improved schedule adherence and production execution stability
  • Increased accuracy and reliability of SAP data (orders, lead times, inventory status)
  • Reduction in manual workarounds and reactive firefighting
  • Improved OTIF/LOTIF and backorder performance
  • Clear and consistent adherence to standard work across planning and production
