Our award-winning client is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Manager to join their team. The ideal candidate will lead and strengthen quality operations in a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment. This role provides hands-on leadership to Quality Engineers and Technicians, ensures compliance with IATF standards, and drives continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. The ideal candidate is an experienced Quality Manager or a Senior Quality Engineer ready to step into a leadership role.
Responsibilities:
Lead, mentor, and provide daily guidance to Quality Engineers and Quality Technicians in a high-volume manufacturing operation.
Support and actively participate in IATF 16949 audits, customer audits, and internal quality reviews.
Serve as a key member of the plant's continuous improvement and quality improvement teams.
Ensure all plant employees are trained and compliant with quality requirements, procedures, and the quality plan.
Oversee training, development, and performance growth of Quality Technicians.
Drive quality initiatives that reduce COPQ and improve process capability and product performance.
Required Qualifications:
Experience as a Manufacturing Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer, ready to advance into a management role.
Strong working knowledge of some or all of the following:
Product Launch processes.
IATF 16949.
PPAP / APQP.
Extrusion manufacturing processes.
Metrology and measurement systems.
Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement.
Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma (L6S certification preferred).
Kepner-Tregoe problem-solving methodology.
Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
