Job Description

Incoming Material Inspection

  • Perform incoming inspection as per Inspection Plans, Drawings, Specifications, and SOPs.
  • Verify dimensional, visual, functional, and documentation requirements of incoming materials.
  • Conduct sampling inspection as per approved sampling plans.
  • Ensure proper identification, traceability, and segregation of non-conforming materials.

Supplier Quality Coordination

  • Coordinate with Supplier Quality and suppliers for incoming quality issues.
  • Raise supplier defect reports and track corrective actions.
  • Support supplier performance monitoring and improvement activities.
  • Participate in supplier visits, audits, and technical discussions when required.

Non-Conformance Management

  • Identify and document incoming defects through NCR/PDIR systems.
  • Implement containment actions to prevent defective material usage.
  • Support root cause analysis and verification of corrective actions.
  • Ensure timely disposition of rejected and blocked stock materials.

Quality Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain inspection reports, quality records, and traceability documents.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, QMS requirements, and inspection procedures.
  • Support internal, customer, and certification audits.
  • Maintain calibration status of inspection and measuring equipment.

Continuous Improvement

  • Analyze incoming rejection trends and supplier PPM performance.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce incoming defects, line stoppages, and blocked stock.
  • Support digitalization and process improvement projects in Incoming Quality.
  • Participate in Kaizen, Lean, and quality improvement activities.

Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work closely with Sourcing, Supplier Quality, Engineering, Production, and Stores teams.
  • Support MRB activities and material disposition decisions.
  • Participate in daily quality review meetings and escalation management.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 1-3 years of experience in Incoming Quality, Supplier Quality, Manufacturing Quality, or Quality Assurance.
