Inside the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Project Manager with a distribution operations background to lead process optimization initiatives within a fast-paced Parts Distribution Center (PDC) environment. This role is responsible for identifying operational inefficiencies, improving material and information flow, and driving continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity, service, safety, and cost performance.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can work autonomously while partnering closely with warehouse operations, engineering, IT, and leadership teams to solve complex operational challenges. This individual will also help identify opportunities to integrate emerging technologies and AI-driven solutions into distribution center operations and decision-making processes.

Position offers a starting salary range of 104,000 - $133,000 USD

Pay offered dependent on knowledge, skills, and  experience

What You Drive

  • Lead cross-functional optimization projects focused on warehouse operations, material flow, labor productivity, inventory movement, and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with operations leadership and frontline teams to identify process bottlenecks, flow disruptors, and operational pain points.
  • Analyze current-state workflows and develop data-driven recommendations for process improvements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering methodologies.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage AI, automation, and advanced analytics to improve operational performance and decision-making.
  • Support warehouse layout optimization, slotting strategies, storage utilization, and labor balancing initiatives.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, business cases, and implementation strategies for operational improvements.
  • Coordinate with IT, engineering, warehouse systems, and operational stakeholders to execute improvement initiatives.
  • Monitor project performance, KPIs, and ROI metrics to ensure expected benefits are achieved.
  • Facilitate change management activities and support operational adoption of new processes and technologies.
  • Conduct operational studies related to throughput, travel reduction, staffing models, productivity, and process standardization.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and project updates to leadership teams in a clear and professional manner.

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading operational optimization or continuous improvement projects.
  • Strong experience within distribution center, warehouse, or supply chain operations environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced operational environment.
  • Experience analyzing operational data and translating findings into actionable process improvements.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.

Exceptional Candidates Might Have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field.
  • Warehouse leadership experience or direct warehouse operations experience.
  • Experience with warehouse management systems (WMS), labor management systems, or material handling automation.
  • Exposure to AI tools, automation technologies, or advanced operational analytics.
  • Manufacturing engineering or industrial engineering background.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
  • Experience supporting automation, goods-to-person systems, or material handling equipment initiatives.
