Leidos’ Defense Systems Manufacturing is seeking a Manufacturing Program Manager to join our Mechanical Manufacturing team. Our operations are growing rapidly and have an immediate need for a flexible Manufacturing Program Manager (MPM), particularly skilled in managing multiple projects and project stakeholder interests. The ideal candidate will have direct experience in project management, cost accounting, Earned Value Management System (EVMS) and in a manufacturing environment. The position requires technical understanding of various machining & assembly manufacturing processes necessary to produce the highest levels of industry, military, and space levels of quality assurance. The MPM will be responsible for all associated tasks, costs, schedule, status reporting, leading constraint resolution, Estimates to Completion (ETC) development, and scope of work monitoring. The MPM works within a matrix organization and is responsible to coordinate the necessary resources with various manufacturing Leaders & Program Managers to ensure the program executes to customer requirements and documented execution plans for cost and schedule.

Primary Responsibilities
Coordinate with Manufacturing Leaders on the assigned projects to meet established business KPI’s and
contractual requirements.
Direct point of contact and support of internal/external customers and Program Management team members to define manufacturing requirements and plans.
Provide input to processes, standards, and operational plans to implement organizational strategies.
Provide regular status of the Manufactured parts to the Program Managers & Customers.
Manage all program required deliverables to on-time delivery at required quality levels.
Provide regular program status updates and reports to customers and organizational managers.
Manage & report out program status using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) CPI & SPI
Calculate labor and material Estimates-to-Completion (ETC) on a regular basis.
Develop variance analysis on EAC & recovery plans as needed.
Support development of labor and material estimates for new business opportunities.
Serve as a liaison between Manufacturing, Program Management & Senior Leadership.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelors’ Degree from an accredited institution with 8 or more years of relevant experience in project or program management or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Ability to multi-task, interact, and succeed with multiple customers and stakeholders with varying expectations and requirements.
Manage and organize complicated and diverse scopes of work to ensure successful program execution.
Demonstrable and extensive experience with MS Office tools (Excel, project, PowerPoint, word).
Experience with EVMS in development of ETC/EAC, variance analysis, recovery plans.
Good written & verbal communication skills.
Must be a US Citizen and must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
Engineering or Technical Degree is a plus.
Hands-on technical experience with Product Life Management, Configuration Management, and Enterprise Resource database management systems (e.g., Costpoint & LENS), interface tools, and reporting.
Manufacturing background or knowledge especially in machining, welding & assembly processes.
Knowledge in Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma improvement methodology.

Pay Range $92,300.00 - $166,850.00
