ASML’s Production Engineer Team in Linkou supports the mature product portfolio—includingPAS5500, YieldStar (YS), Reticle Handler (RH), and XT —with over450 engineers across electrical, software, mechanical, mechatronics and system specialties.
The team combines the strengths ofDevelopment & Engineering (D&E), Manufacturing, and Customer Support to ensure stable factory output, rapid issue resolution, and structural improvements across mature system generations.
As aProduction Engineer (Electrical & Control) , you will focus onelectrical system behavior, PCB-level diagnostics, electrical cabinet components, signal/power integrity, high-voltage and safety circuits, and motion-related electrical issues that impact system performance. This role is hands-on, system-oriented, and highly collaborative with D&E to drive structural solutions and prevent repeat failures.
Electrical System Troubleshooting & Analysis
Diagnose electrical issues across PAS5500/YS/RH/XT modules, including electrical cabinets, power distribution, PCB boards, sensor/actuator wiring, and safety circuits.
Perform PCB-level diagnostics: schematic reading, signal tracing, component-level fault isolation, protocol checks, and power/signal path verification.
Investigate electrical noise, grounding issues, shielding problems, HV behavior, emergency interlock loops, and safety circuit abnormalities.
Motion & Automation Related Electrical Issues
Analyze electrical failures in motion subsystems (stage/handler) involving sensor feedback, actuator behavior, wiring inconsistencies, or noise-induced distortion.
Interpret motion profiles (position/velocity/acceleration curves) and work with S&C/mechatronics engineers to identify electrical contributions to system failures.
3rd-Line Engineering & Structural Fixes
Collaborate with D&E on deep-dive engineering investigations, structured root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/structural solutions
Define clear technical problem statements and guide investigations after 1st/2nd-line teams have exhausted initial troubleshooting paths.
Support ECN implementation and ensure corrective actions eliminate systemic electrical issues.
Documentation & Diagnostic Improvements
Maintain and enhance schematics, cabinet documentation, electrical diagnostic procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Identify diagnostics gaps and propose new test procedures, tools, or workflows to improve electrical problem detection and system reliability.
Lead improvements that enhance system stability and production troubleshooting efficiency.

Who are we?
ASML is an innovation leader in the global semiconductor industry. We make machines that chipmakers use to mass produce microchips. Founded in 1984 in the Netherlands with just a handful of employees, we’ve now grown to over 40,000 employees, 143 nationalities and more than 60 locations around the world.
What do we do?
We provide chipmakers with hardware, software and services to mass produce patterns on silicon through lithography. Our lithography systems use ultraviolet light to create billions of tiny structures on silicon that together make up a microchip. We push our technology to new limits to enable our customers to create smaller, faster and more powerful chips.
Who are our people?
While you may think that only engineers and mathematicians work at ASML, you'll be surprised to find out that our people come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Across ASML, we have dedicated teams that manage customer support, communications and media, IT, software development and more. Every team in the company is essential for pushing our technology and the industry forward.
If you love to tackle challenges and innovate in a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment with all the flexibility and freedom to unleash your full potential, ASML is the place to be.
