Georgia-Pacific is now hiring Production Associates to join our Corrugated facility in Augusta, GA.

This is a hands-on manufacturing role for someone who takes pride in working safely, learning new skills, and being part of a team that produces the corrugated packaging our customers rely on every day.

Pay

Starting Pay: $19.58/hour

  • +$1.25/hour 2nd shift differential
  • +$1.25/hour 3rd shift differential
  • Overtime opportunities available as needed

Schedule

Flexibility is required. Candidates must be available to work any shift, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Orientation:

Your first week will be 7:00 AM–3:00 PM. Your assigned shift will be determined during orientation.

Regular Shifts:

  • 2nd Shift: 3:00 PM–11:00 PM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM–7:00 AM (begins Monday night)

What You'll Do

You'll learn to safely operate and support production equipment while helping the team meet daily goals.

  • Operate and monitor production equipment after completing required training
  • Follow work instructions and product specifications
  • Monitor production processes and enter information into computer control systems
  • Identify and communicate equipment or process issues
  • Perform basic equipment care, cleaning, and routine preventive maintenance tasks
  • Help achieve production, quality, waste, and safety goals
  • Work safely around mobile equipment and other industrial machinery
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area
  • Follow all safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment

The Work Environment

This is a hands-on manufacturing environment. The work may require you to:

  • Stand, walk, climb, stoop, push, and pull throughout the shift
  • Lift materials and perform physically demanding tasks
  • Work up to 12 hours per day
  • Work in a loud, high-volume industrial environment
  • Wear required safety equipment and follow strict safety procedures

What You Bring

Basic Qualifications

  • One year of continuous work experience in a manufacturing, industrial, agricultural, warehouse, construction, military, or other physically demanding work environment OR completion of a post-high-school manufacturing/industrial program
  • Experience working around, operating, maintaining, or servicing machinery, equipment, vehicles, or tools.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Experience in corrugated, paper, packaging, printing, converting, or similar manufacturing
  • Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial equipment
