HME is looking for your talent! The Manufacturing Process Technician I will work closely with Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Production to support and improve manufacturing operations. Identifies and troubleshoots processes, material, or equipment problems to minimize down time and recommend solutions to restore process flow. Promotes, supports, and implements Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement activities in Manufacturing.

What you will do in the position:

  • Manufacturing Process
    • Working with Process Engineer to develop/implement new methods and procedures that improve flow, reduce cost, and/or improve quality, maximizing efficiency using Lean methods and tools
    • Creates or updates process Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
    • Trains operators on manufacturing equipment, processes, procedures, and best practices.
    • Point of contact for Manufacturing Engineering for Pilots and Prototypes.
    • Facilitates Pilot and Prototype runs with Manufacturing, while evaluating build for DFM issues.
    • Assists in the identification, design, fabrication, and/or assembly of manufacturing fixtures and tools to improve manufacturing process.
    • Works with Leads and Assemblers to generate and implement continuous improvement ideas.
    • Supports Manufacturing during manufacturing operating hours and overtime, including weekends.
  • Process Data Analysis
    • Reviews manufacturing process data to identify process bottle necks, potential quality issues, and process inefficiencies.
    • Performs root cause analysis with Process Engineer, implements corrective/preventative actions and monitors to ensure corrective action effectiveness.
    • Provide process data reports to Process Engineers and Manufacturing as directed by Process Engineering.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Works with Equipment Specialist to maintain, adjust, calibrate, and/or repair Manufacturing equipment.

What you will need to succeed in this position:

  • Qualifications
    • Working knowledge of Electromechanical Assembly.
    • Understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment and procedures in area.
    • Ability to follow quality processes.
    • Ability to clearly communicate correct processes to others.
    • Strong organizational skills.

The posted pay range, $23.80 - $31.73, is what we reasonably expect to pay for the role. This may vary depending on experience and other factors. Our benefits package includes tuition reimbursement; 3 weeks paid vacation your first year, paid holidays, medical, vision, and dental coverage, pet insurance, life insurance, and 401K contributions.
