Help Hypertherm Associates reimagine how our warehouse and aftermarket operations work!

As a Manufacturing Process Engineer, lead data-informed improvements that increase efficiency, strengthen inventory accuracy, expand physical capacity, and improve Order Fulfillment performance. You will have significant input into the future-state design of the warehouse, including layouts, material storage, equipment, and order-fulfillment processes.

As our Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will:

  • Analyze current-state workflows and operational data to identify, prioritize, and quantify Kaizen opportunities
  • Design future-state warehouse layouts and material-storage solutions that improve space utilization, safety, ergonomics, and flow, in support of enhanced customer service

  • Evaluate, justify, and support the purchase, implementation, programming, operation, and maintenance of new equipment
  • Create and maintain clear process instructions, standard work, and other technical documentation
  • Define KPI models and use Power BI, SQL, and other analytical tools to measure performance and sustain results
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma methods, root-cause analysis, pFMEA, and corrective-action practices to solve problems—even when complete data is not yet available
  • Manage projects from concept through implementation, coordinating scope, schedule, budget, stakeholders, and risk
  • Partner with warehouse and production teams to resolve technical issues and integrate safety requirements into processes and equipment

Who you are and the experience you bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Two or more years of relevant manufacturing, warehouse, distribution, order fulfillment, or process-engineering experience
  • Experience designing and implementing warehouse layouts for material storage and flow
  • Experience designing processes and selecting equipment for aftermarket order fulfillment
  • Demonstrated ability to use data to evaluate opportunities, build business cases, and measure results
  • Working knowledge of project management, process documentation, safety integration, and continuous-improvement methods
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification
  • Proficiency with SQL, SolidWorks, and Power BI
  • Sound judgment and comfort making well-reasoned decisions when data is incomplete
  • Strong collaboration, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Location: Kent, WA onsite

Travel: 5% to other Hypertherm locations
