As a global leader in manufacturing construction materials for the building envelope, we offer anchors and reinforcement, moisture protection, thermal performance, wall estimating software, and air barrier systems for commercial and residential masonry markets.

We are seeking a detail-oriented Manufacturing Process Engineer to support day-to-day manufacturing execution through accurate job packet preparation, technical documentation, work order generation, and production scheduling. This role is ideal for a technically minded individual who is comfortable working in CAD, ERP/MRP, scheduling, and Microsoft Office applications while partnering closely with engineering, sales, and manufacturing teams. The successful candidate will help convert customer and engineering requirements into clear production instructions, support timely work order release for custom fabrication, stamping, and wire forming parts, and adjust schedules to help meet expected delivery dates.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create and provide detailed tolerance drawings using 2D and 3D CAD software.
  • Make engineering design changes to existing standard product drawings as required.
  • Establish new product bills of materials.
  • Generate accurate and timely work orders for custom fabrication parts, stamping parts, wire forming parts, and other assigned manufacturing requirements.
  • Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules to align labor, equipment capacity, material availability, and customer delivery expectations.
  • Monitor schedule changes and proactively manipulate production sequencing to help achieve expected delivery dates and minimize delays.
  • Discusses design specifications with engineers to establish component tolerancing.
  • Use machine tool programming language and related software, including G-code and laser nesting software, to support accurate and efficient component manufacturing.
  • Work effectively with different functional areas i.e., engineering, sales, and manufacturing.
  • Maintain current knowledge of CAD, manufacturing software, and digital tools used to improve job packet accuracy, scheduling efficiency, and production workflow.
  • Observes all department and company safety and housekeeping rules.
  • Other responsibilities as assigned by manager.

SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline preferred.
  • 2-year CAD certificate from Technical College or equivalent documented experience.
  • 2 or more years of AutoCAD drafting experience (SolidWorks ability a plus).
  • Experience with CNC programming and/or nesting software for Laser cutting metal working machinery.
  • Strong technical and computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams; CAD platforms such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks; ERP/MRP or production scheduling systems such as Alere, Epicor, SAP, Oracle, or similar manufacturing software; and file management, data entry, and digital documentation practices.
  • Ability to create, update, and maintain digital production records, work orders, routers, schedules, drawings, and related documentation with a high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to use computer-based tools to analyze priorities, track production status, update schedules, communicate changes, and support on-time delivery performance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with laser nesting, CNC programming, G-code, and related manufacturing software is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to read engineering, architectural, and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to revise engineering drawings based on requirements or engineering department instructions.
  • Ability to create detailed shop drawings for fabrication of part and assemblies.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize work to align with the deadlines and project milestone dates.
