Schedule:

Friday - Sunday

6:00PM - 6:00AM

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year or more related

experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Dependable- Consistency in coming to work daily and conforming to scheduled work hours. Flexible and adaptable to work overtime when needed.

• Reliability-Can be depended upon to be available for assignments, to complete tasks properly, and complete work on time. The degree to which the employee is willing, trustworthy, and persistent.

• Mechanically inclined. Computer savvy.

• Ability to follow written & verbal instructions. Able to follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety, and quality assurance practices.

ABOUT THE JOB!

Multiple level positions available. All operators manufacture parts of products by performing a variety of tasks. Assembles and refines in relation to the production or manufacture of various types of products. Work is routine and instructions are detailed. Knows fundamental practices and procedures relating to production standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

May perform the following tasks in a variety of departments: Preform, Fabrication, Assembly/Sub Assembly/Cleaning & final Assembly, Drying, Packing, Creel, Cell Operator, General Utility, Foaming, Velcro.

• Using established procedures and working under immediate supervision, follows exact manufacturing instructions indicating specified finish, style, and quality control requirements of product to be processed or delivered.

• Examines product for conformance with specifications.

• Sets up, minor repairs and operates machines and equipment.

• May inventory materials and supplies and report order needs.

• May specialize in certain tasks.

LOCATION:

Gentex’s Carbondale facility is located in Northeastern Pennsylvania in Lackawanna County. Carbondale, PA is about twenty miles north of Scranton, PA, 50 miles south of Binghamton, NY, and about 125 miles from New York City and Philadelphia. The area hosts numerous nearby state parks, nature preserves and local colleges and universities, including The University of Scranton and Marywood University. Northeast Pennsylvania is a beautiful area and offers an excellent cost of living. It is a great place to work, recreate, meet people, raise a family and live!
