About the Role

The Manufacturing Operations Manager position will oversee daily manufacturing operational activities and drive operational excellence through the effective use of the Epicor ERP system. This role will be instrumental in enhancing organizational efficiency by developing and implementing a structured Operations Training Program, ensuring consistency, scalability, and employee empowerment across departments.

What You’ll Do

Manufacturing Operations Management

• Manage daily manufacturing operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective resource management.
• Analyze operational performance metrics for manufacturing production outputs and implement process improvements to meet KPIs.
• Monitor supply chain and inventory systems for manufacturing related sourcing, leveraging Epicor data for forecasting and planning.
• Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to ensure smooth execution of customer orders and production timelines.

Epicor ERP Leadership

• Serve as the primary operations lead for the Epicor ERP system to optimize manufacturing production results.
• Oversee manufacturing system configurations, workflows, and user adoption to ensure optimal utilization across departments.
• Collaborate with IT and other department heads to identify areas for automation and process improvement.
• Provide training and support to staff on Epicor modules relevant to operations, including production, inventory, procurement, and order management.

Training & Development

• Design, develop, and implement a robust Operations Training Program for Manufacturing division new hires and existing team members.
• Standardize procedures and create documentation (SOPs, manuals, job aids) across operational functions.
• Track employee progress and training effectiveness to drive continuous improvement.
• Foster a culture of learning and operational excellence in the Manufacturing division through ongoing coaching and mentorship.

Strategic Planning & Reporting

• Partner with senior leadership to develop and execute strategic manufacturing operational initiatives aligned with business goals.
• Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, system usage, and training impact.

Position worksite addresses include the following locations:

• 3010 High Ridge Blvd., High Ridge, MO 63049; and
• 6217 State Road PP, High Ridge, MO 63049

Position requires travel up to 20%, including approx. 10% domestic travel to visit customer sites, and approx. 10% international travel (primarily to Mexico) to attend conferences and visit plant sites and supplier locations.

What You’ll Bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Management, Operations Management, Supply Chain or a closely related field (or foreign equivalent).

The Position requires at least five (5) years' experience in each of the following:

• Kaizen experience;
• Production engineering experience in a manufacturing environment in the Power Transformers industry;
• ERP system reporting experience; and
• Experience with continuous process improvement, method analysis, cost containment and capacity enhancement.
