
ACE YieldStar Mechatronic Design Engineer (MTDev vacancy)

Within ASML, the YS sustaining team works closely with counterparts located in ASML, Netherlands, and is responsible for the products including YieldStar, System and BMA module. The team is responsible for YS system after KD13 phase design improvement, issue escalation and resolution in field and factory.
Position in the Organization
The holder of the position reports to the LF YS Sustaining Team Lead in Linkou Factory, Taiwan.
Job Mission
To contribute to the development of the YieldStar product and to contribute to the precision mechatronic aspects related to manufacturing of YieldStar systems and troubleshooting, resulting in quick fixes and structural solutions.
Develop and implement design improvements in close cooperation within the multidisciplinary team.
Support the Manufacturing and Customer Support organization to meet the output and quality requirements.
Geographical
The function to be filled in Linkou office (ASML Taiwan, Linkou)
Travel during the knowledge transfer and project collaboration with ASML VHV DE is expected. Candidate must be able to able to travel 1~2 times a year to VHV, Netherlands when business needed.
Inventing construction principles and joint building strategies for the precise positioning of complex dynamic mechanical systems.
Carrying out design analyses and verification on Stage Position Measurement.
Fills a general advisory position in the field of precision engineering and is therefore responsible for the correct application of precision engineering principles when developing metrology systems.
Specifies, re-design and optimize all the precision mechatronic aspects of the YieldStar modules in order to meet the system performance.
Designs and realizes test equipment and is responsible for ensuring that prototypes are built and tests are carried out.
Is responsible for the technical product documentation in order to unambiguously explain the design to suppliers.
Contribute to the YieldStar master plan by making a realistic work break down.
Support YieldStar manufacturing and customer support organization with high end troubleshooting
Optimizing quality of the mechatronic aspects of the YieldStar modules.
Educational & Experience
Bachelor/ Master Degree in Mechatronic Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
2+ years of work experience is preferred.
Familiar with YS and Stage Position Measurement is a plus.
Precision mechanical motion stage design, automatic machine design, servo motion control experience, repairs/refurbishments of multi-disciplinary equipment like measurement tools, positioning tools, assemblies etc. are an advantage.
Experience in Quality & Efficiency improvement projects in both the production and development environment are an advantage.
Experience in Stage Position measurement troubleshooting.
Personal Skills

Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with manager, co-workers and customers
Strong technical writing and communication skills in English, including presenting results based on strong statistical evidence to audiences of a wide range of technical abilities.
Candidate must be familiar with Matlab program.
Candidate must be familiar with motion control design algorithm and mechatronics design principle.
Candidate must have a strong technical leadership and drive the development to a quality result and work effectively in a team.
Team player able to convince others with different cultural backgrounds.
Strong analytical ability with a pragmatic attitude.
Professional communication.
Self driven, pro-active, hands-on and get-it-done mentality based on technical arguments.
Good knowledge of English.
Wave optic knowledge is a plus.
Interferometer knowledge is a plus.
This position requires access to controlled technology, as defined in the United States Export Administration Regulations (15 C.F.R. § 730, et seq.).
