
The Manufacturing Study Engineer is responsible for conducting cost and process studies for Body-In-White Shops on new model programs. You will be responsible for understanding all the processes in a Body Shop including underbody, bodysides, body framing, roof, ARS, closures, panel line, metal finish, stamping sub-assemblies, transfer systems, and conveyors. You will analyze newly proposed product changes and determine the process and cost impact on the manufacturing process. You will be responsible to deliver cost roll ups and activity slides that explain the changes. You will also deliver AutoCAD layouts of the modified plant, process, or site plan. Coordination with other groups, such as logistics, ICT, GA and facilities. You will also be called on to complete Make/Buy studies and specialty studies for new technologies and processes.
