Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary SME for manufacturing master data across the organization.
  • Act as the organization's global expert on the end-to-end relationship between manufacturing master data and supply planning outcomes.
  • Advise manufacturing sites on the proper design and maintenance of:
    • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
    • Master Recipes
    • Workcenters
    • Production Versions (PVs)
    • Phase-to-Phase Relationships
  • Provide guidance on manufacturing process modeling best practices, considering downstream impacts to planning, scheduling, execution, inventory, and costing.
  • Define, maintain, and govern standards for BOMs, Recipes/Routings, Work Centers, Production Versions, and related manufacturing data.
  • Develop and implement audit processes to monitor data quality, compliance, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Partner with manufacturing sites and business teams to resolve master data issues and support process improvements planning, scheduling and execution issues caused by inaccurate or inconsistent manufacturing data structures.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for data-related issues impacting production, inventory accuracy, costing, planning and scheduling, or reporting.
  • Lead investigations and resolution of issues involving unexpected planning behavior, incorrect capacity loads, production version selection issues, component shortages, and inaccurate consumption patterns.
  • Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure manufacturing master data accurately reflects plant processes and business requirements.
  • Drive manufacturing data standardization and continuous improvement initiatives across sites.
  • Develop and deliver training, documentation, and best practices to strengthen manufacturing data management capabilities.
  • Monitor key manufacturing data quality and performance metrics and identify opportunities for improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
  • 7+ years of manufacturing experience.
  • Strong hands-on experience with:
    • Bills of Materials (BOMs)
    • Recipes/Routings
    • Work Centers
    • Production Versions
    • Phase-to-Phase Relationships
  • Experience with SAP PP, PP-PI, S/4HANA, or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced analytical skills with proven experience evaluating large manufacturing datasets, including data extraction, analysis, validation, and reconciliation of defects.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production execution, and master data management.
  • Strong understanding of how manufacturing master data drives planning and scheduling.
  • Experience developing data standards, governance processes, audits, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in multi-site or global manufacturing environments.
  • Experience with SAP Master Data Governance (MDG).
  • Experience supporting manufacturing data governance, standardization, or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with OMP, APO, IBP, Kinaxis, Blue Yonder, or comparable advanced planning systems.
  • Experience developing training materials, SOPs, and business process documentation.
