Job Description

This position requires a strong understanding of lean manufacturing and general production principles in an ETO environment. The Manufacturing Manager(M/F/D) ensures that dates are adhered to and determines if we need to work overtime to meet delivery dates. The Manufacturing Manager manages the production plan and ensures timely communication and problem resolution in the event dates cannot be met. Daily focus on understanding problems affecting the production departments with actions to correct are key in ensuring a continuous improvement culture in the manufacturing department. This position reports to the Plant Manager and has direct reports.

Your role:

  • Operational Management of >150 employees in up to 3 shifts, split into 7 different departments.

  • Ensure the production according to the annual budget: revenue, lead times and product cost while keep and improve the safety standards and the required quality level at the best total cost for the company.

  • You ensure with your personal involvement a high OTD, low past due backlog and good productivity and you are the first contact in case of required improvements from the market.

  • Improve the Lean Management activities in production and synchronize the activities with the group wide Operational Excellence Program.

  • You identify improvement potentials and optimize the entire production process to reduce the overall cost and lead time.

  • In your new position, you work closely with a variety of internal stakeholder (matrix) and contribute to our group wide target process landscape.


Your profile:

  • At least 5 years of leadership experience

  • Experienced in working across functions, businesses and countries in a global matrix-organization

  • Accrued rich experience in operations overall

  • Is used to working in an international environment across countries and regions

  • Solid experience working in industrial manufacturing companies with engineered products

  • Technical degree - Engineering degree or equivalent education

  • Proven track record of plant safety, lean systems implementation and productivity improvements with a strong focus on lean

  • Ability to get results through strong team and cross-functional collaboration

  • English & German - fluent
