This role is fully responsible for embedding Autonomous Maintenance practices to ensure sustainable performance and long-term reliability.

Main Responsibilities

'0. Safety and Well-being

Ensure the safety of all employees within the manufacturing areas and across the entire plant.

Promote a culture where safety is a daily priority by embedding it in all activities and communication.

Ensure full compliance with Czech Safety Legal requirements and MDLZ HSE Standards, implementing measures to uphold these in manufacturing areas.

  1. Cost-Effective Production and Efficiency

Deliver the most cost-effective production process in line with plans set by the Plant Director, ensuring adherence to the production schedule.

Optimize resources to achieve maximum customer satisfaction by meeting or exceeding targets for line productivity, efficiency, yield, rework, overweight, scrap, staffing, and production volume.

  1. Product Quality and Compliance

Ensure all products meet MDLZ specifications, complying with quality standards such as HACCP, GMP, and safety regulations.

Lead corrective actions for deviations and reinforce safe, high-quality practices across production teams.

Act as a safety leader, supporting HSE programs and fostering safe behavior among team members.

  1. Continuous Improvement and Cost Reduction

Drive productivity and Continuous Improvement (CI) projects to sustainably reduce conversion costs.

Collaborate with Business Development, RD&Q, and other functions to support new products, processes, promotions, and simplification initiatives.

  1. Team Leadership and Development

Lead and develop the Manufacturing Leadership Team, ensuring clear guidance and career growth opportunities.

Build a team culture aligned with Continuous Improvement and Lean Manufacturing principles, focusing on collaboration, accountability, and performance.

Act as the primary interface with other functions, including HSE, Quality, BD&E, IL6S, and Finance.

  1. Conversion Cost and Budget Management

Own the conversion cost budget, ensuring adherence to approved figures and transparent reporting of deviations to MEU.

Track and manage conversion process KPIs, while forecasting capacity and workforce needs for accurate production planning.

Collaborate with the Plant Controller on capital approval requests and new product cost estimates.

  1. Production Planning and Output

Deliver production according to the defined plan, ensuring alignment with conversion costs, loss rates, and approved recipes.

Adjust production output through labor planning (e.g., use of temporary staff or seasonal workers) and implement contingency plans as needed.

  1. Equipment Maintenance and Reliability

Oversee equipment maintenance aligned with IL6S principles to achieve or reduce budgeted maintenance costs.

Ensure equipment reliability to maintain consistent production output and prevent downtime.

  1. Inventory and Stock Management

Manage targeted stock levels, DBNR, and CTS in alignment with the central HUB and autonomous production teams

What you will bring

A desire to drive your future and accelerate your career and the following experience and knowledge:

  • University degree in Manufacturing/ Engineering or comparable background preferred
  • Minimum 5 years working experience in Food Manufacturing environment
  • Strong people management and communication skills
  • Good knowledge of manufacturing and lean processes
