Job Description

The Maintenance Technician position is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance on the production and company facilities.
Part Time Day Position Wednesday and other days flexible. Position can be 8, 10 or 12 hour days
Pay range $37 - $46 per hour DOQ

Duties and Responsibilities:

· Effectively complete preventative and predictive maintenance per weekly schedule to prevent breakdowns on equipment.

· Utilize root-cause analysis skills to investigate breakdown and line stoppages while collaborating with other departments.

· Proficient in the operation of all plant equipment to better troubleshoot and maintain as required.

· Communicate with team leaders and production associates regarding critical findings during routine inspections.

· Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized maintenance management system) to record all maintenance activities daily.

· Proficient in welding and metal fabrication to include proper use of machine shop equipment.

· Proficient in understanding and troubleshooting hydraulics and pneumatics circuits and systems.

· Proficient in maintaining and troubleshooting mechanical systems such as gearboxes, bearing, seals, clutch & brakes, etc.

· Proficient in troubleshooting 230/480 motor control circuits in a manufacturing environment, utilizing multi-meter and other test equipment.

· Must have experience in troubleshooting and replacing VF Drives and other motor control devices.

· Must have experience in troubleshooting PLCs, understanding components and logic.

· Proficient in utilizing line drawings and schematics to troubleshoot equipment.

· Ensuring daily adherence to the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP), and Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA) Regulations

· Must be willing to invest time in continuous improvement of technical skills.

Minimum Job Requirements:

Education/Certifications:

· Minimum Associate Degree or equivalent years of experience.

· Must have at least 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment

Abilities:

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

· *Must be flexible for overtime and weekend work

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to effectively train others

· Must be able to read work documents in English

· Strong focus on safety

· Good understanding of plant quality requirements

· Good working knowledge of GMP’s

· Must be able to adhere to the attendance policy

· Strong team orientation

Working Conditions and Physical Effort:

· Work involves daily exposure to elements such as dirt, dust, fumes, extreme temperatures, humidity, darkness, and/or noise

· The work environment involves daily exposure to physical risks, such as working around mechanical, chemical, and electrical hazards

· Regular exposure to food products and food allergens

· Position requires the ability to stand; walking around the office and plant; lifting and carrying packages up to 50 pounds; utilizing fine dexterity, and reaching; kneeling, crawling, and twisting to inspect equipment. It also requires the ability to see; hear; and communicate with employees as well as others by utilizing professional etiquette

· Personal protective equipment, as defined by CHG, will be provided
