Our client, an industrial equipment manufacturer in the Greater New Orleans area, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join their team Facilities Maintenance Department. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for advanced troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of complex metal-fabricating equipment in a high-precision manufacturing environment. This role plays a key part in maximizing equipment uptime and supporting production operations, and is a full time, direct hire position.
Key Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain CNC and metal-fabrication machinery
Familiar with PLCs, relay logic, three-phase motor controls, and VFDs
Maintain equipment in accordance with OEM standards and safety requirements
Read and interpret electrical/mechanical schematics, drawings, and service manuals
Document maintenance activities accurately and thoroughly
Communicate with equipment manufacturers’ technical support as needed
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
5+ years of industrial maintenance experience with strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
Associate’s Degree or Technical School training
