Job Description

PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and schedule preventive and corrective maintenance work using the Max Maintenance system
  • Review, prioritize, and validate maintenance work requests for completeness and accuracy.
  • Develop detailed job plans including labor estimates, required tools, materials, permits, drawings, and safety requirements.
  • Coordinate maintenance schedules with production to minimize operational disruptions.
  • Maintain and optimize preventive maintenance (PM) programs based on equipment reliability and historical performance.
  • Create and maintain equipment bills of materials (BOMs), maintenance procedures, and equipment documentation.
  • Coordinate with Purchasing and Storeroom personnel to ensure parts and materials are available before scheduled work.
  • Monitor maintenance backlog and prioritize work based on criticality, safety, compliance, and operational needs.
  • Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and major maintenance projects through detailed planning and scheduling.
  • Ensure compliance with company safety policies, environmental regulations, and applicable maintenance standards.
  • Generate maintenance performance reports and key performance indicators (KPIs) for management.
  • Assist in developing annual maintenance budgets and forecasting maintenance resource requirements.

  • Ability to walk throughout manufacturing facilities for extended periods.
  • Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to climb ladders, stairs, and access elevated platforms.
  • Ability to work in industrial environments with exposure to noise, heat, moving machinery, and varying weather conditions.
  • Manufacturing production facility with occasional office work.
  • May require occasional overtime, weekends, or on-call support during equipment failures or plant shutdowns.
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required in designated production areas.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance planning, maintenance supervision, or industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience using CMMS software (SAP PM, Maximo, Max Maintenance, Infor EAM, Oracle, Fiix, or similar).
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and industrial manufacturing systems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP).
  • APICS, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement certifications.
  • Experience with predictive maintenance technologies.
  • Knowledge of TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) and Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM).
