Job Description
Gensco, a regional leader in sheet metal manufacturing, is looking for a self-motivated, trainable up and coming Manufacturing Janitor to join our Swing Shift Team in Tacoma, WA!
**Training Schedule** during 2 month training period will be working on day shift from 6:30am-2:30pm, then transition to swing shift after training
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure all areas of Manufacturing Department are neat, clean, free from clutter, and safe
- Perform janitorial/housekeeping duties
- Box finished goods including bundling pipe
- Complete other tasks assigned by Managers
Education/Experience/Skills
- High school diploma or GED required
- 1-2 years of mechanical experience with electrical experience preferred
- 1-2 years of related experience required to include working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical, and electrical systems
- Some experience and ability in mechanical, electrical, and electronic troubleshooting and maintenance techniques
- Must have the ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical/electrical principles and concepts
- Be able to work with each department to provide support to ensure day-to-day maintenance issues are resolved with a reliability mindset
- Regularly and repetitively lift 50 pounds and frequently lift 75 pounds using proper lifting techniques
- Able to work at heights up to 30 feet
- Able to move freely about the facility, climb stairs, stoop, bend, kneel, stand, and walk for extended periods of time up to and over 8 hours a day
- Ability to work overtime as needed
