
The Industrial Engineer is responsible for driving operational excellence, productivity improvement across manufacturing processes. This role will support production and engineering teams in the development and optimization of processes for circuit breakers and instrument transformers, ensuring high quality, efficiency, and safety standards.
The position plays a key role in implementing Lean principles, supporting PFMEA development, designing manufacturing fixtures, and leading initiatives to improve throughput, reduce waste, and enhance overall manufacturing performance.
Roles and Responsibilities
Support manufacturing operations for circuit breaker and instrument transformer production lines
Lead and facilitate Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) to identify risks and implement preventive controls
Design, develop, and implement manufacturing fixtures and tooling to improve safety, quality, and efficiency
Analyze production processes to identify opportunities for cycle time reduction, labor optimization, and cost savings
Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on eliminating waste and improving flow
Develop and maintain standard work, work instructions, and process documentation
Support line balancing, capacity analysis, and layout optimization to meet production targets
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Production, Quality, Engineering, Supply Chain) to resolve process issues and improve performance
Support new product introduction (NPI) and process transfers, ensuring robust and scalable manufacturing processes
Ensure compliance with EHS, quality standards, and company procedures
Create and coordinate Management of Change (MOC) projects
Support production routing management with time studies and waste hunting
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Desired Characteristics
Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan and execute programs.
Experience designing fixtures, jigs, or tooling for manufacturing processes
Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems and CAD, SolidWorks
Experience with Power BI, Minitab, or other data analysis tools
Hands-on mindset with strong presence on the shop floor ( Gemba-oriented)
Ability to lead Kaizen events and continuous improvement workshops

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $81,700.00 and $136,700.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
