Texas Instruments is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Intern to be responsible for evaluating and supporting our manufacturing operations.
Shadow and support supervisors in overseeing daily production activities across assigned shifts or work cells
Coordinate crew assignments, material flow, and shift handoffs
Monitor production output, quality metrics, and downtime; compile and present findings to leadership
Participate in root cause analysis for production issues and contribute to corrective action plans
Build and maintain operational models to simulate and analyze production capacity, throughput, bottlenecks, and resource utilization
Optimize production schedules and workflows to improve line efficiency, reduce cycle time, and minimize idle time or WIP buildup
Conduct time studies, work sampling, and line balancing analyses
Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions based on findings

▋ Minimum requirements
Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or related field
Minimum Cumulative 3.0/4.0 GPA
▋ Preferred qualifications:
Strong communication and interpersonal skills — comfortable working on the production floor with frontline employees
Analytical mindset with attention to detail
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced preferred); experience with Excel VBA, SQL, or Python is a plus
