As a Manufacturing Engineer – CAM Specialistat Baker Hughes, you will play a key role in developing andoptimizingCNC machining processes through advanced CAM programming. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, improve cycle times, andmaintainthe highest standards of quality and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
Develop andoptimizeCAM programs for complex turbomachinery components using advanced CAD/CAM software
Collaborate with design engineering to ensure manufacturability and process robustness
Define machining strategies and cutting toolselectionto improve productivity and reduce costs
Support the introduction of new products and technologies into manufacturing.
Analyze machining performance and implement continuous improvement initiatives
Maintain and update process documentation, including setup sheets and tool lists
Troubleshoot machining issues and provide technical support to production teams
Evaluate and integrate new CAM technologies and software capabilities
Ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies
Act as a technical reference for CAM-related topics within the Manufacturing Engineering team
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role ideally you should have:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or equivalent technical background
Proven experience in CAM programming for multi-axis CNC machines (e.g., 5-axis milling, mill-turn)
Proficiencyin CAM software (e.g., Siemens NX, Mastercam, or similar)
Strong understanding of machining processes, cutting tools, and materials
Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communicationand teamwork abilities
Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
Fluent in English and Italian
Experience with automation and robotics in manufacturing is a plus
