Manufacturing Excellence Trainee (m/f/d)

Looking to jumpstart your career in a dynamic, global environment? As an IWS (Operational Excellence) Trainee at JTI Dagmersellen, you’ll have the chance to make a real impact by supporting our innovative Operational Excellence approach in production. This program is designed for recent graduates who are passionate about continuous improvement, teamwork, and developing their professional skills.

During your 12 months with us, you’ll work closely with our production team to enhance efficiency and drive improvements. From day one, you’ll get hands-on experience in operational projects and have the chance to actively contribute to our production processes. After a comprehensive onboarding, you’ll be involved in key areas like data analysis, process optimization, and team coaching.

You’ll be mentored by our IWS Manager and supported by a team that values collaboration, open feedback, and continuous improvement. This role will not only boost your technical skills but also help you grow as a future leader in a company with flat hierarchies and a culture that empowers you to take charge of your development.

Your key responsibilities:

• Support the implementation and roll-out of a new Operational Excellence approach in production
• Help drive a cultural shift toward flat hierarchies, Servant Leadership, and employee empowerment
• Assist with process analysis and continuous improvement initiatives in production
• Analyze and interpret production data to optimize workflows
• Step in for leading team members when needed, taking ownership of key tasks
• Build and share knowledge on systems, tools, and processes with the team
• Contribute to quarterly planning and help achieve key objectives for the production cell
• Train and coach employees to enhance their technical skills and support their growth

Is it a match?

• You’ve recently graduated (within the last 24 months) with a degree in Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
• You’ve got up to 18 months of work experience after graduation
• Fluent in German and English
• You’re a quick learner with strong analytical skills
• You have a passion for problem-solving, continuous improvement, and driving results
• You are open, challenging and you share your ideas with passion?
