We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Excellence Leader to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for Atmus Filtration Technologies.

Location: Nashville TN, Onsite with Flexibility

Travel: Travel could be up to 30% to visit our global sites

The Manufacturing Excellence Leader provides leadership to advance manufacturing performance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement across Atmus manufacturing sites.

This role leads and supports deployment and maturity of our Operating System, drives Lean and/or Six Sigma improvement initiatives, leads cross-functional projects across the Integrated Supply Chain, and helps accelerate adoption of global standards and best practices.

The role partners closely with plant, functional, and commercial leaders to improve operational performance, build capabilities, and deliver measurable customer and financial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional projects and strategic initiatives across the Integrated Supply Chain, partnering with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Quality, Engineering, and other functions to improve end-to-end performance.
  • Develop a sound understanding of Atmus' global supply Chain operations, and support execution of the Manufacturing Excellence strategy and roadmap, translating enterprise priorities into actionable improvement plans with plant and functional leaders.
  • Lead Lean and/or Six Sigma improvement initiatives across global manufacturing plants, supporting deployment and maturity of the Atmus Operating System (AOS) and strengthening daily management practices.
  • Coach plant leaders and teams in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies, root cause analysis, daily management, and data-driven decision making, while strengthening Manufacturing Excellence capabilities across the organization.
  • Drive measurable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, throughput, and process capability through structured problem solving, waste elimination, variation reduction, automation, and process optimization.
  • Support development and deployment of global Manufacturing Excellence standards, governance, maturity assessments, and performance-review processes to ensure consistent execution and sustained results.
  • Facilitate the Global Manufacturing Best Practices Forum, identifying proven practices and accelerating their standardization and replication across the manufacturing network.
  • Partner with Sales and Commercial teams, as needed, on initiatives that improve customer outcomes, service performance, capacity alignment, and execution of key business priorities.
  • Lead assigned projects from opportunity identification through implementation, ensuring clear ownership, milestones, measurable benefits, and effective escalation of risks and barriers.
  • Monitor improvement progress and provide the Manufacturing Excellence Director and leadership with clear visibility to performance gaps, priorities, risks, and opportunities.
  • Stay current on external Lean, Six Sigma, automation, and manufacturing excellence practices, bringing relevant benchmarking and improvement opportunities into Atmus.
  • Develop and coach assigned team members and help foster a strong culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and operational discipline.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of experience in industrial manufacturing, operations, continuous improvement, engineering, quality, or manufacturing excellence.
  • Proven experience leading Lean and/or Six Sigma transformation and improvement initiatives, with demonstrated results in cost, quality, productivity, throughput, and customer performance.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional projects across manufacturing and the Integrated Supply Chain, influencing teams across functions and geographies.
  • Experience using data analytics, performance dashboards, and structured problem-solving tools to identify opportunities, measure results, and drive sustained improvement.
  • Experience applying automation, process engineering, error-proofing, and process optimization to improve operational performance.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, analytical, and change-leadership skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Business, or a related discipline required.
  • Master’s degree and/or MBA preferred.
  • Lean and/or Six Sigma certification preferred.

Base salary range: $150,000 – $180,000/year

Please note that the salary range provided is a good faith estimate on the applicable range. The final salary offer will be determined after considering relevant factors, including a candidate’s qualifications and experience, where appropriate.

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our 401(k) Retirement Savings Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, other personal and professional benefits.
