Role purpose

Lead and manage a portfolio of innovation projects from pilot to industrial scale, ensuring solutions are ready for manufacturing deployment and deliver value across the manufacturing network.

The role works closely with innovation programs, manufacturing sites, procurement, and enabling functions to embed industrial readiness early, accelerate time‑to‑value, and deliver measurable benefits such as productivity improvements, cost savings, and sustainability impact. Acting as a key link between innovation teams and operations, the role supports piloting, scale‑up, and deployment of innovations across manufacturing sites.

Accountabilities

  • Manage and prioritise a portfolio of innovation initiatives approaching industrialisation.
  • Guide projects through a structured stage‑gate process, ensuring alignment with manufacturing needs and innovation strategy.
  • Coordinate with innovation programs, manufacturing sites, procurement, and enabling functions to embed industrial readiness early.
  • Govern the transition from pilot to full‑scale deployment, including ownership handover and implementation approach.
  • Ensure readiness for scale‑up, covering CapEx, procurement, operational integration, and manufacturability.
  • Track performance and benefits, including time‑to‑value, ROI, productivity improvements, and sustainability impact.
  • Act as a key interface between innovation programs, T&E teams, and manufacturing sites, supporting piloting, rollout, and knowledge sharing

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in manufacturing, engineering, or innovation roles
  • Fluent English language knowledge
  • Experience in scaling up technologies or process innovations in industrial settings
  • Proven track record of managing cross-functional projects from pilot to deployment
  • Exposure to research, development, or technology transfer environments
  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology area, or related field
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, industrialization, and innovation lifecycle
  • Familiarity with stage-gate processes, business case development, and ROI tracking
