This position is responsible operating, maintaining, and adjusting process equipment as necessary to either manufacture the product and/or to create prototype parts needed to verify new processes, equipment, and product designs. The Technician II will provide real time monitoring of the processes to ensure fabrication of the highest quality products and prototypes. The Technician II will have responsibilities for the production facility, and the training all team members on processes and procedures.
Position Duties: - Operate automated, semi-automated, and manual equipment safely and independently, including lasers, heated rollers, and confined-area tasks.
- Train employees on machinery startup, operation, and safe material/chemical loading.
- Maintain, calibrate, monitor, and adjust equipment settings using SPC data to ensure quality production and prototype builds.
- Load, align, receive, inspect, and track materials throughout manufacturing and R&D processes.
- Operate multiple machines simultaneously to reduce downtime and maintain continuous production.
- Test, inspect, and disposition finished products and prototypes based on quality metrics.
- Enter process data into SPC, JDE, and manufacturing databases; prepare reports and documentation as required.
- Assist engineers, metrology lab, and R&D teams with audits, experiments, process optimization, manuals, and procedures.
- Learn new process equipment and support 5S Lean practices: Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, and Sustain.
Requirements: Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent experience required. Five years of manufacturing experience is preferred. Candidate should possess knowledge of engineering principles, manufacturing processes, and production equipment, along with an understanding of electronics, computer hardware/software, and related applications. Must also be able to read and interpret technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models used in precision manufacturing and production environments.
