Job Description

Position Purpose:

  • Support the paint and assembly processes in the facility, troubleshoot and assist in problem isolation and solution. Provide back-up support to the axle and weld/fab departments as needed.

Essential Functions:

  • Apply concepts and details of gauging, fixtures, and tooling to assist in problem solving.
  • Identify areas in which tooling, cleanliness, operation sequences, or forming consistency can be improved to increase throughput or product quality.
  • Help in maintaining and control programing for all paint/assembly areas.
  • When necessary, help to evaluate existing tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement.
  • Provide support to production associates as they assume greater responsibility in manufacturing functions

Education & Training:

  • Five to seven years’ experience in manufacturing facility.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Ability to interpret prints sketches, verbal instructions, and mathematical data to identify tooling, gauging, and fixturing.
  • Excellent mechanical aptitude.
  • AutoCAD experience a plus.
  • Evaluate tooling and fixturing to determine optimum method of repair or improvement.
  • PLC programming knowledge.
  • Shift flexibility is a must.
  • Atlas Copco tooling experience preferred.
  • Welding Experience is a plus
