We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Engineering & Quality Managerto join our Large Power Systems team to support Caterpillar large engine production at our Kielfacility.

Leadateamsupportingoperations,manufacturingandqualityprocesses,toolingandtooldesign, andequipmentneededtosuccessfullyandeconomicallyproduceassignedpartsproductsinaccordancedwithengineeringspecifications
Overseemanufacturingengineeringandqualityteamsanddevelopingtrainingthepersonnelthatperform and supporttheplantoperatingfunctions
Leadtooldesign,assembly,manufacturingprocessing,costestimating,systemsplanning,layout,standards,andreleasing
Supportthedevelopmentofqualityassurancestrategies,processes,guidelines,andcontrolplanswhichensurequalityandreliabilityofmanufacturedproducts
Leadthedevelopmentandimplementationofcorrectiveactionandpreventivemeasurestoachievequalitytargets
Investigateandaddresstrends with internal and external non-conformance.
Driveimprovementsbasedondataanalysisand reviewreportswithqualityassurance,production,management, andengineeringteamstosolvequality-relatedissues
Managedevelopment,implementationandcontinualimprovementoftheoperatingmethods,equipment,systemsandotheroperatinginfrastructureusedtorealizeoperatinggoalsandobjectives
Leadtheinstallationofnewmachinesandequipmentandprocesschangestoprovidethemostefficientandeconomicalmanufactureorassemblyofqualityparts
Providethetechnicalexpertisenecessarytodesign allaspectsofproductionassembly,costs,quality,compliancetosafetyguidelines, and environmentalrequirementsformanufacturing
Overseetheadministrationandcontinualimprovementofqualitymanagementsystems
WhatYouHave(KeySkillsExperienceRequired):
Manufacturing Equipment:Knowledge of the electrical, mechanical and logisticsequipment used in manufacturing; ability to safelyoperate, maintain,updateand store them.
Manufacturing Processes:Understanding ofexisting product manufacturing methods,technologiesand processes; ability to execute, plan, manage andmonitorthe entire manufacturing process.
Manufacturing Safety:Familiarity with manufacturing safety; ability toidentifywork-related hazards and perform necessary activities to meet regulatory requirements for the safety and protection of workers,environmentand site.
Manufacturing Standards, Procedures and Policies:Strong awareness of organizational standards,proceduresand policies in manufacturing activities; ability to plan, guide, andmonitormanufacturing processes for compliance.
Quality Management System (QMS):ExpertiseinQualityManagement System's (QMS) functions, features, and capabilities; ability to design, implement, test, andmaintainQuality Management Systems to consistently meet customer requirements and regulatory compliances.
Lean Manufacturing:Knowledge of the philosophy,principlesand implementation approaches of lean manufacturing; ability to integrate and implement lean manufacturing philosophy into existing production and management processes.
Decision Making and Critical ThinkingStrong commandof the decision-making process and associated tools and techniques; ability to accurately analyze situations and reach productive decisions based on informed judgment.
Analytical ThinkingSolid grasp of techniques and tools that promote effective analysis; ability todeterminethe root cause of organizational problems and create alternative solutions that resolve these problems.
