The Opportunity
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading the Manufacturing Engineering organization across all value streams and manufacturing facilities. This role owns the manufacturing process after product launch and serves as the primary engineering partner to Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, Planning, Industrialization Engineering, and Continuous Improvement.
The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for driving process stability, productivity, capacity, manufacturing performance, and operational excellence while supporting Integra's growth and expansion strategy.
This role may also oversee maintenance activities where applicable and serves as a key leader in developing manufacturing capabilities, technology roadmaps, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will do?
- Lead and develop the Manufacturing Engineering team across all value streams.
- Provide technical leadership, coaching, performance management, and resource planning for the Manufacturing Engineering organization.
- Own manufacturing processes, standards, and governance following handoff from Industrialization Engineering.
- Drive safety, quality, productivity, throughput, delivery, and cost improvements across manufacturing operations.
- Establish and maintain Manufacturing Daily Improvement (MDI) systems and support daily operational reviews.
- Design, optimize, and sustain manufacturing, warehousing, and material presentation & handling (MP&H) processes.
- Own manufacturing floor layouts, warehouse flow, equipment utilization, labor allocation, and process optimization.
- Define, validate, and continuously improve labor standards, routings, takt times, and manufacturing performance metrics.
- Pilot and adapt internal and external manufacturing capacity based on customer demand and business requirements.
- Participate in Material Process Planning (MPP), Sales & Operations Planning, and capacity planning reviews.
- Support the introduction and industrialization of new products and manufacturing processes.
- Lead implementation of Engineering Change Requests (ECRs) and Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), ensuring all changes are reviewed, documented, and validated prior to implementation.
- Own tooling, fixtures, error-proofing solutions, and manufacturing process improvements.
- Support Value Stream Managers in achieving SQDCP objectives.
- Drive root cause analysis, corrective actions, and long-term process stability initiatives.
- Evaluate and justify manufacturing capital investments and automation projects while ensuring return on investment (ROI).
- Partner with Industrialization Engineering on manufacturing readiness, capacity planning, and new product introductions.
- Partner with Continuous Improvement leaders on productivity, flow, capacity, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Support future site expansions, footprint optimization, and operational scalability programs.
- Serve as the Manufacturing Engineering data owner responsible for process, labor, routing, and capacity data governance, quality, and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years of Manufacturing Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- 3+ years of leadership experience managing engineering teams.
- Experience supporting assembly, fabrication, electrical systems, industrial manufacturing, or engineered-to-order environments (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, capacity planning, labor standards, facility layouts.
- Experience with MDI, Lean Manufacturing, Root Cause Analysis, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience leading engineering change management processes.
- Experience managing capital projects, automation initiatives, and manufacturing investments.
