For more than 40 years, Carrier Transicold has been an industry leader, providing customers around the world with the most advanced, energy efficient and environmentally sustainable container refrigeration systems and generator sets, direct-drive and diesel truck units and trailer refrigeration systems.

You will provide support to a manufacturing/assembly operation at the Carrier Transicold Athens facility. This role reports to the Operations Manager.

Manages a team of all levels of professionals in Manufacturing Engineering, establishes objectives and guidelines for manufacturing processes, product specifications and other areas of manufacturing engineering. Coordinates the preparation of business plans and proposals. Provides functional management to employees and directs project staff recruitment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and direct 5 manufacturing engineers and 4 tech resource leaders
• Identify and implement productivity projects in a timely manner
• Drive safety and quality improvements throughout operations
• Actively participate in monthly engineering meeting
• Clearly communication operations expectation with support teams
• Participate in and coordinate lean transformation events
• Take ownership of all manufacturing processes

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• 5+ yrs. of experience managing a team in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Six Sigma, Lean
• Basic Knowledge Manufacturing material systems JD Edwards
