The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes to improve efficiency, quality, and safety. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance production capabilities, reduce costs, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The role involves analyzing workflows, troubleshooting production issues, and utilizing lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvement.
Position Duties: -Lead the development and implementation of efficient assembly line processes specifically for headlamp manufacturing
-Actively collaborate with cross-functional teams including design and manufacturing engineers based in Madison, Indiana
-Provide comprehensive engineering support throughout all stages of product development
-Champion continuous improvement projects by applying Kaizen and lean manufacturing principles
-Develop and execute strategic plans to reduce production costs and enhance overall productivity
Requirements: A bachelor’s degree in manufacturing engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years of manufacturing engineering experience with specific experience in headlamp assembly lines is required. Deep knowledge of Kaizen and lean manufacturing methodologies with a proven track record of implementing these principles to improve processes is necessary. Excellent communication skills
