Job Description Summary

This co-op will maintain the manufacturing process, improve quality of manufacturing throughput and collaborate between other engineering team members in the Madison factory. They will work on the production floor to assist production associates in removing obstacles, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes. The role has some autonomy along with a dynamic priorities list but is focused on driving key performance metric improvements across production while maintaining documentation within the scope of a regulated medical device facility.

Essential Responsibilities:

Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Co-lead process/quality improvement projects for operational excellence
  • Support in product qualification package
  • Opportunity to learn and execute Lean Six Sigma tools and make positive impact on the business
  • Conduct data collection and learn to apply data-driven analytical approach to problem solving
  • Exposure to Power generation repair workshop machinery & operating technologies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Currently pursuing a degree (Bachelor's preferred) in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Aerospace, Material and/or Industrial Engineering
  • Competent with MS Office applications
  • Being inclusive and having the imagination and courage to make changes
  • Possess good communication skills.
