
Performs in a collaborative environment to develop and implement manufacturing processes, procedures and production layouts for assemblies, equipment installation, processing, fabrication, and material handling. Drives adoption of new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction and quality improvement. Creates and analyzes 3D based model data environment to optimize manufacturing process and digital work instructions. Leverages understanding of materials and automatic processes to define operations procedures and build sequences to drive operational excellence. Evaluates performance (including IoT devices, etc.) of equipment and tools to verify their efficiency and investigates and initiates corrective action of problems and deficiencies to ensure operational excellence. Leverages factory data to develop statistical process control approaches and integrates reporting and data analytics solutions for continuous improvement. Provides input to product design regarding design concepts and specification requirements to best utilize equipment and manufacturing techniques.
Selected Candidate will be required to:
• Perform floor support to solve immediate production constraints.
• Develop corrective actions to improve the production system, reducing Scrap Rework and Repair (SRR) cost and hours per unit (HPU).
• Update the manufacturing plan
• Perform manufacturing evaluations of engineering changes
• Perform QAR corrective action
• Create cost reduction initiatives
• Other Manufacturing Engineering standard work (Tool Trial Runs, Work Around Plans, etc.).
This position is located at a facility that requires special access:
• Must be a US Citizen
•Ability to obtain and maintain Secret Clearance per business requirements
• Applied CATIA V5 experience or similar 3D software
• Experience reading engineering blueprints or tool designs
• Experience in engineering or manufacturing
• Experience in aeronautics or missiles and fire control
• Experience with root cause analysis
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
• BS/MS in Manufacturing Engineering or related field with 9+ plus years of experience (7+ w/ MS)
• Experience working in a union environment.
• Possess experience giving persuasive presentations.
• Possess good communication skills (written and verbal).
• Knowledge of F-35 production line practices and requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and verbally.
• Knowledge of aircraft structures and/or systems installation (hydraulics / harness) procedures and requirements
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $104900.00 - $194700.00
