This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities.
We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Operations team at Blue Origin. This role will lead the design and implementation of efficient manufacturing systems, ensure stringent quality control throughout production, andoptimizesupply chainlogisticsspecific to Production/Operations. The ideal candidate will be results-driven, skilled in resource management, and committed to high-quality standards. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline operations, reduce costs, and enhance production timelines. Leveraging advanced technologies and methodologies, you will contribute to improving manufacturing techniques, ensuring Blue Origin’s continued innovation and excellence in aerospace engineering

Shifts: A | Mon-Fri (6am-2:30pm)

Potential travel up to 10% of the time for training and other support activities.
KeyResponsibilities:
Support the industrialization of new products in areas such as pumps, motors, and controllers.
Contribute to design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), design for test (DFT), key to building reliable vehicles for space exploration.
Translate engineering requirements into robust, repeatable manufacturing processes that support Blue Origin’s mission.
Collaborate closely with design engineering, quality assurance, supply chain, and production teams to accelerate building a road to space.
Develop andmaintainmanufacturing documentation, including work instructions, process flow diagrams, tool designs, and inspection plans.
Evaluate and implement new manufacturing technologies and methods (e.g., composites, precision machining, additive manufacturing, advanced assembly).
Support root cause analysis of process or product non-conformances; develop and implement corrective actions that enhance reliability and performance.
Ensure all work aligns with applicable quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001), supporting a safe and sustainable future in space.
Participate in process FMEAs, risk assessments, and validation of new production lines and equipment.
Identifyand complete opportunities for efficiency gains and cost reduction,optimizingour ability to achieve our mission at scale.

Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Aerospace Engineering (other relevant fields may apply) from an accredited university
3+years ofexperience in amanufacturing,industrial, or process engineering role
1+ years of experience creating English work instructions
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Must be able to work second shift and have flexibility to move shifts as needed. Open to work extended hours ifrequired
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing engineering experience within aerospace or high-reliability industries.
Hands-on fabrication and assembly experience in aerospace applications, including pumps, Cryogenic fluids, harnessing.
Understanding of engineering fundamentals for mechanical design and manufacturing including working knowledge of GD&T.
Experience working with Bill-of-materials and BOM reconciliation
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles
Familiarity with quality and safety standards (AS9100, ISO 9001).
Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) experience.
Experience in designing,buildingand commissioning tooling and fixtures for manufacturing, assembly and/or testing processes.
Understandingof fabrication processes (such as machining, welding, composites, and assembly).
Experience in designing, commissioning, and troubleshooting tooling, jigs, fixtures, molds, and automated tooling.
Proficiencywith PLM/MRP systems (e.g.Teamcenter, Windchill, etc.).
Prior involvement in New Product Introduction (NPI) or transition to production in an aerospace environment.
Foundation in DFM/DFA and manufacturing process development.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with teams, customers, and suppliers across geographic locations, with an emphasis on collaboration and customer satisfaction.
Base Pay Range for:
WA applicants is $91,852.00 - $128,592.45
