Position Description

The Manufacturing Engineer II plays a critical role in driving manufacturing excellence by developing, improving, and optimizing production processes. This position focuses on technical leadership, problem-solving, and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing engineering and a passion for operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and other methodologies.
• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing processes, equipment, and tooling to improve production efficiency and product quality.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including production, quality, maintenance, and design engineering to resolve manufacturing issues.
• Analyze production data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Support new product introductions by providing design for manufacturing feedback to design engineering and then developing and validating manufacturing processes.
• Create and maintain process documentation including standard work, work instructions, PFMEAs, and control plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
• Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
• Participate in capital equipment selection and justification.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for process-related issues.

Required Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a related field.
• 2 or more years of experience in a manufacturing engineering role.
• Proven experience with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies.
• Proficiency in CAD software and manufacturing tools.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and manufacturing data analysis tools.

The salary range for this position is estimated in good faith to be $80,000 – $110,000. The specific offer will depend on the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and other job-related considerations but will be within the stated range.
