This position is responsible for the mechanical design, development, and modification of factory automation equipment, as well as the design and optimization of jigs and fixtures. The role also encompasses technical training for technicians and the supervision of their daily work assignments. The objective is to improve production efficiency, enhance product quality, reduce manufacturing costs, ensure stable equipment operation, meet the company's operational needs, and drive the advancement of the company's automation capabilities.

Majority responsibility:

1. Equipment Design & Development:

  • Conduct conceptual design, solution formulation, and mechanical structural design for automation equipment based on production needs and process requirements.

  • Utilize design software to create 2D and 3D drawings, and output accurate design blueprints and technical documentation.

  • Oversee equipment assembly, commissioning, and testing to ensure performance meets design specifications.

2. Equipment Modification:

  • Evaluate existing automated production equipment, analyzing operational status and identifying issues.

  • Formulate modification plans and complete optimized mechanical structure designs to enhance equipment stability, reliability, and production efficiency.

  • Manage the implementation of modification projects, coordinating with relevant departments to complete post-modification installation, commissioning, and acceptance.

3. Fixture Design & Development:

  • Design various fixtures, such as welding fixtures and assembly jigs, according to product characteristics and manufacturing processes.

  • Optimize the structure and performance of fixtures to improve their versatility, usability, and durability.

4. Personnel Technical Training & Safety Training Technical Transformation & Innovation Workshops

Job requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing & Automation, Mechatronics, or related fields.

  • Over 8 years of experience in automation mechanical design.

  • Solid knowledge of mechanical principles, mechanical design, tolerances and fits, mechanics of materials, and other professional disciplines.

  • Familiarity with the selection and application of common automation components; understanding of the principles and applications of control elements such as motors, sensors, and pneumatic components.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and hands-on practical abilities.

  • Prior experience in equipment design and development for the magnetic materials and inductive field is preferred.

Essential Skills & Training

  • Proficient in mechanical design software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD);

  • Demonstrated ability and experience in independently completing the design and development of medium-to-large-scale automation equipment.

  • Knowledgeable about IATF16949, and ISO9001 requirements.

  • Personnel management, communication, and coordination skills.
