The MechanicalEngineer II is the catalyst for technical problem solving and continuous improvement on the manufacturing lineThis role works as part of a team dedicated to continuous improvement, implementing and revising processestomaximize efficiency and meet customer expectations.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Monitor production process toimprove;product flow, yield,anduptime.
Optimizecurrent equipment and improve process capabilities.
Develop the team toutilizeproblem solving techniques and methods,and provide leadershipin the identification, analysis, and resolution of issues.
Lead continuous improvement efforts within the line support teamand manage product and process improvement initiatives on the production line
Identifyand implement process improvements toeliminatevariation in the production process caused by equipment and/or product design.
Prioritize projects and issues that are associated with the production lineusing best business practices
Leveragetechnicalresources toincorporateline improvementsand remove barriers.
Represent the production team byinterfacingwith other departmentsto ensure that quality and customer requirements are metWork with production GroupLeaders,Production Support Engineers (PSEs),and team members to resolve quality issues, line rejects/RMA(Return Materials Authorization)
Owns technical responses to 8D/RMA quality concerns and control methods tomaintainand improve process capability
Mentor incoming PSEs, focusing on developing technical skills andproblem-solvingissues.
Assistin the development of Control Plans, FMEA’s, Process Flow Charts and Assembly Drawings.
Other duties as assigned.

Complying withallcompany policies and procedures, safety regulations, company safety policies and safely perform all duties, including but not limited to, promoting a safe workplace.
WHAT TO BRING
Bachelor’sdegree ina technical,scientificor relatedfield
1+ years of manufacturing experience
Ability to understand/use SolidWorks,PLC’sand other manufacturing software platforms beneficial.
Ability to learn and network the organization.
Proven analytical ability to understand and solve technical issues in ateam-orientedenvironment.
Inclination and willingness to get involved directly on the production floor.
Flexibility with workscheduleto accommodate productionand businessneeds, including occasional travel forvendorand customer visits.
