Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Boeing Executive Transport Production Engineering Team - is seeking Manufacturing Engineers (Associate and Experienced) to support the VC-25B Build Manufacturing Engineering Team based in San Antonio, TX.

We are seeking team members that recognize the importance of cross-functional-teaming, technical leadership, and analytical problem-solving; and whom have a passion for demonstrating supporting actions daily.


Position Responsibilities:
• Create and refine the aircraft zonal build plans – mitigating risks and developing sequenced-based execution plans.
• Committed Change / Design Change Build Implementation Leadership – Assessing Build Plan impacts, mitigating risks, and influencing producibility enablers
• Consultation and advisement – leading stakeholder engagement and involvement in build plan aspects.
• Innovation and data analytics – driving continuous improvements
• Condition of the Airplane – Integrator surrounding the health of the production system; acting as a bridge between design, the build plan, and the product.
• Familiarity with Loadable Software and corresponding configuration management tasks
• Developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
• Accomplish Build Integration processes & build plan milestones.
• Champion process to functional organization and stakeholders.
• Lead collaboration and integration across the affected commodities.
• Enhance the Build Integration process by providing lessons learned/after action review meetings.
• Attend technical review meetings for design changes and provide build impact and recommendation.
• Compile impact assessment inputs from commodity MEs to support the process.
• May be requested to support other platforms as needed.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in San Antonio, Texas

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):


• Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
• 2+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
• 2+ years of experience supporting the development of the engineering technical data packages needed to produce aircraft parts and components.
• 2+ years of experience utilizing professional/technical writing skills, teaming successfully to solve technical issues.

• Requires walking on airplane and crouching

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

• 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (Level 3)

• Active Secret or Top-Secret security clearance
• Electrical background is a plus; wire installation
• Build integration experience a plus
• Experience with IVT.
• Use of Microsoft Office Suite
• Experience with CATIA.
• Experience with GoldEsp.

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation. The selected candidate will need to be located in the surrounding area or relocate at their own expense.

pay range for Associate: $85,000 – 115,000

pay range for Experienced: $103,700 – 140,300
