Manufacturing Engineer

• Investigate, understand, and develop practical process improvements and modifications for production of magnet wire products.
• Apply sound engineering principles and methods to improve quality, efficiency and cost.
• Maintain detailed records of process improvements and equipment changes.
• Work with the Quality Lab and Production Team to diagnose and improve product quality issues.
• Provide hands-on technical support for existing processes to improve safety, product quality, process efficiency, and material usages and scrap.
• Evaluate prototype equipment, document performance, and recommend modifications.
• Develop build strategies and process controls for new product trials and production launches.
• Design and source production tooling for sample runs and new product launches.
• Assist with project management, planning, and documentation for new product trials and launches, and engineering projects.
• Communicate project milestones and critical paths regularly to ensure functional and timely results.
• Maintain a positive and productive relationship with team members and other departments.
• Use of hand tools and measuring equipment.
• Knowledge of computer usage and most Microsoft applications.
• Observe all safety standards.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workspace.
